1. Who we are
Social Aid for Common Humanitarian (SACH) is a non-profit organisation registered in Pakistan under registration number 6402, dated 16 November 2011, with its registered office at Ward No. 1, Quaid-e-Azam Road, near United Hotel, Badin, District Badin, Sindh. In this policy, “we” and “us” refer to SACH.
2. Information we collect
We collect only what we need in order to accept your donation, account for it properly and report back to you:
- Your name, email address and telephone number, where you provide them
- The amount, date and reference of your bank transfer
- The name you ask us to record on a hand pump plaque
- Any correspondence you send us
We do not collect or store card numbers, banking passwords or one-time passcodes, because we do not process card payments at all.
3. How we use your information
To acknowledge your donation, to maintain our accounts and comply with Pakistani law, to send you photographs and information about the project your donation funded, and to answer your enquiries.
4. What we never do
We do not sell, rent, trade or otherwise share our donor list with any other organisation, charity, company or individual, and we do not send marketing messages on behalf of anyone else.
5. Names on plaques and in published material
If you fund a hand pump, the name you provide is recorded on the plaque fixed to the pump in the village and may appear in photographs we publish. If you would prefer not to be named, tell us before the plaque is made and we will record “Anonymous” instead.
6. Photographs of the people we serve
We ask permission before photographing anybody. We do not photograph people in a manner intended to shame them or emphasise their poverty, and we do not publish the names, medical conditions or treatment details of patients seen at our camps.
7. This website
This website sets no advertising cookies and does not track you across other websites. Web fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser contacts Google’s servers to retrieve them. Our hosting provider maintains standard server logs, including IP addresses, for security and diagnostic purposes.
8. How long we keep information
Donation records are retained for as long as Pakistani accounting and tax rules require. Correspondence is kept only for as long as it remains useful, and is deleted thereafter.
9. Your rights
You may ask what information we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, except where we are required by law to retain a financial record. Write to contact@sachpk.org and we will respond within thirty days.
10. Changes to this policy
If we amend this policy we will update the date shown at the top of this page. Material changes will also be announced on our social media accounts.
11. Contact
